My animated work explores memory, story, and human connection, shaped by early vision challenges and the refuge I found in animation. I approach animation as a space of listening, translating memories and emotions into material, gesture, and movement. My practice in animation aims to allow experiences to be encountered slowly and with care. I am currently exploring how quiet, limited forms might engage an unconscious that is infinitely vast in stillness. My animations have earned 17 awards and 40+ official selections, including screenings at Academy Award and BAFTA qualifying film festivals.
When I’m not working on my own animated projects, I create animations with my students through LensBright Initiative, experimenting together with materials, techniques, and storytelling. :)
