About Me
I am an artist and a traveler who lives a life worth writing about, an adventurous dreamer who shares dream and hope through my art, and a compassionate leader who tackles societal issues through civic engagement.
Born in Edmonton, Canada, I was raised in both Canada and South Korea. In 2018, I moved to Bratislava, Slovakia, attended high school, and traveled around European countries. Living in four countries and seven cities and attending eight schools shaped me into the creative, open-minded, and compassionate person I am today.
I am currently pursuing a double major in Fine Arts and Cinema and Media Studies with a minor in Design at the University of Pennsylvania. To explore my passion for animation, film, and civic engagement, I am involved in the Animation, Architecture, Design Mentorship Program as the Founder and an Animation Mentor. I also serve as the Head of Story in Pencilbite Studio, the Studio Manager of the Participatory Action Design Studio, a Board Member of the Netter Center Student Advisory Board, Chair of the Alumni & Employment committee of the Assembly of International Students, and a member of Penn Newman and the Penn Boxing Club.
My journey as an artist has taught me the power of animated storytelling. It helped me rediscover self-love, regain lost confidence, and rekindle dreams during a challenging period of dealing with an unidentifiable eye disorder. Now, I aspire to deepen my understanding of humanity and contribute my artistic abilities to create a more compassionate and connected society.
